We purchased this freezer as a replacement for a similarly sized Maytag upright freezer. Our old freezer only had three shelves and a hard to access stationary storage area on the bottom, while the new one has five and a pull out basket. What a huge difference the extra two shelves and basket make! It feels like I have so much more room and the contents fit so much better in the new one. I nearly bought a chest freezer as I was so dissatisfied with our old upright, but fortunately for me the one I wanted was out of stock so, with reservation, I bought this model instead. It has exceeded my wildest freezer expectations, and I am both elated and saddened that I've reached the point in life where an appliance can make me this giddy. Buy it, you won't regret it!

Love it ! Shelves are sturdy and spacious. The basket in bottom for heavy items is metal. We had it for almost a month and NO problems with frost build up that others have stated. It could mean they need to make sure freezer is level and door is not left open.

Everything is organized and easily viewed. The shelves are good sized and the door shelves hold a lot too. The light in the freezer also helps for viewing what I am looking for. Am very happy with it.

This is a great upright freezer. I have a Frigidaire refrigerator I have had for many years and it has never missed a beat. So I wanted the same brand in a freezer. The quality is awesome. I love the fact that it has a audible sound that warns you of a temp drop or if the door is not closed, and has a green light on the front that let's you know everything is ok with the freezer. I chose to pay just a little more for an upright and not the chest style because of the ease of looking at what I have in the freezer without having to dig through everything.

After suffering with a no frost freezer that I had to manually defrost for seven months and then, once the part to fix it arrived it worked for three weeks only I was pleasantly surprised with the extraordinary performance of my Frigidaire freezer. Not only does it self defrost as it should, it runs extremely cool compared to my former freezer. Hats off to Frigidaire - they make a great product.

This freezer replaced a 36-year-old freezer that was still working, but not efficiently. This freezer is in our garage and has a smaller footprint, but is very roomy inside. We haven't had it too long, but everything is good so far. It is quiet and looks nice.

I love how convenient and efficient this freezer is. My only gripe is shelving: it only comes with 4 shelves and additional shelves are insanely expensive - over $100 a piece; and there are limited slots for shelves. Otherwise, I'm very happy with this freezer.

The seal around the door leaks unless you push the door closed at the top and bottom after shutting it. LED burnt out after two years. 1000% mark up on replacement! MSRP $96 + change. Shelves don't fit snugly to the sides and collapse if food is slid from one side to the other. One of the most poorly designed appliances that I have ever come across. It's two and a half years old, but had problems with it within a month.

The size is supposedly 0.6 cubic feet smaller than my previous Frigidaire freezer, but the inside is a lot smaller. Of course, there was not a model on the Home Depot floor to look at, so it was a wild guess on precisely what I was going to get. It also does not have a digital temperature indicator in the door like my previous Frigidaire (purchased 13 years ago). There is just one dial inside that does not correlate to any specific temperature. The dial indicates cold, recommended, and coldest. How is that for precision? I ordered a digital thermometer to put inside. What, Fridigaire couldn't build one in for another five to ten bucks? This is a no frills kind of freezer for a big price. I hope this will be the last one I have to buy.

This freezer has been perfect for my space and needs. I had a chest freezer before that I couldn™™t find anything in without digging. With my upright freezer I was able to organize my food so I can see it when I open the door and it made it easy to access. Also we were able to change the hinges so the door would open on the side that worked in my room.

For years I have had a chest type freezer and frankly just hated having to drag everything out of it to find a package at the bottom. even inventorying each thing I placed in it made no difference. Now with my upright freezer I can easily find everything and store them in categories with expiration dates. No more frozen fingers!!!!
