DON™€™T USE SELF CLEANING FUNCTION

Bought in January 2021. Used the self clean function for the first time in January of 2023 and the oven no longer works. It will turn on but will not heat up. We have had two different people out to work on it and nobody has been able to repair it. They have changed out fuses and control boards. So two years after purchase we are going to have to replace it. In addition to issue with oven the range top has been impossible to control the temperature despite multiple adjustments. There is no such thing as Low on this range. It™€™s all high.

Dangerous: Front Knobs easily turn on without lighting causing gas to flow unknowingly!!!!

The front knobs can easily turn to the on position by bumping into them unknowingly causing gas to flow out and fill the room with dangerous methane and explosive Natural Gas. Frigidaire should be aware of this and send safer parts or recall the range. Someone in our home accidently and unknowingly bumped into a rarely used dial for a middle burner which allowed the gas to flow we believe for hours while asleep. After finding the entire house (all three levels) full of Natural Gas and the a range dial turned on and freely flowing gas, we immediately evacuated the house, opened windows/doors and called the Fire Department. Incredibly scary! Could have been catastrophic. Grateful my kids are okay.

We purchased this range for all the right reasons .... reputation, aesthetics, and the Air Fry function. Two negatives - the amount of smoke that results from the air fryer is horrible. We could not use the air fryer so I called service - they spoke to Frigidaire customer service during the service call and were told we were using fresh wings and should expect smoke ...really because it did the same thing when air frying asparagus ! Second, and very important if you have small children - during a normal bake function the range knobs become extremely hot (enough to cause problematic burns to little fingers) .... be very careful. My range is just over the warranty period so they pushed me to "any" local servicer at my expense .... I will say that it looks good.

Pandemic quality?

Our range died a few weeks before Thanksgiving 2020. This was the one stove available in our entire region, so this is what we got. Within a year, the feet on the grates melted, even though we have only used the oven a couple times. Now, the metal plates of the burners have started to bubble, which is alarming. The stove now emits a very strong smell at all times, and I am constantly checking the lights and for a gas leak to make sure we're not in any danger. It's a very apparent smell and guests remark on it in concern. I have no idea what's wrong with the stove. Servicers just shrug and say take it up with Frigidaire. Also? The stainless steel scratches if you just look at it wrong. Like, for real scratches. Maybe the quality is always this shoddy or maybe we just paid full price for a pandemic-quality item.

Enjoying this range which is a replacement for 17 year old appliances that still worked. It is beautiful and easy to keep clean. The easy slide rack takes up two adjustment slides, so I will have to pull it out if I am cooking a tall roast. Then I will have only one rack to use. I have not used the air fry rack yet. The cooktop burners are hot and efficient. The control knobs on front all get very hot when using the oven. Be careful. Also, the knobs are very sensitive and it is very very easy to brush against them and turn the burners on or change the oven temperature. Kind of annoying and dangerous. At least the temp change beeps to let you know.

Two isues

I have been using my 30" gas range for about 10 months now. It is very attractive to look at and the stovetop meets my cooking needs, but I have had two issues with the oven. The first time I tried to use the oven cleaning feature it stopped mid-cycle and shut itself off. Then the oven would not work AT ALL. I had to wait about 2 weeks for a service call, but it WAS repaired during that call. I have not attempted to clean the oven since then, however, so I don't know if the problem will recur.The second issue is ongoing, and I have seen other people comment on it. When the oven is on for a while, the entire control panel become incredibly hot to the touch. It is almost impossible to adjust the timer panel, because the panel is so hot I cannot keep my finger on the timer area for more than a second or two. All of the surface control knobs are also affected. You can feel the heat pouring out of the vents, which are right under the control panel, so as the heat rises the area just gets hotter and hotter. It is not just warm to the touch, it is HOT. Using a touch probe type thermometer, I was able to document a 187 degree temperature on the timer panel. This is dangerous for anyone, but especially if there are children in the household. The vent is poorly placed and is, in my opinion, a design flaw and a hazard. I have used Frigidaire Professional appliances for over 20 years now, and this is the first issue I have experienced. I would love to hear from Frigidaire that you have come up with a fix for this.

Got this a while ago for a major remodel for a new kitchen and I could have sworn that there was child locks when I looked at it at the store but there is none. I have almost burned myself a couple of times when I was cleaning the top. The second reason that I have anything negative to say is, when I opened the box the tint of the range had a dent in it. This stove knobs get extremely hot when using oven at high temperatures (convect/broil/air fry) making this range unsafe, also sliding rack in oven difficult to remove and insert. Have been trying to get service on this stove since November and to date after several calls to frigidaire and CAS I have not had a technician come in to service the range. Also aluminum covering on burner has formed pinhead bubbles and difficult to clean the middle burner between grooves.

We have had the range for a few months now and I enjoy it overall. Like the air fryer and overall functionality. The only caution is that the unit vents in the rear and in the top of the front oven door, so when the oven is on, the knobs can get very hot. I called out an appliance tech and he said there was nothing he could do, as no repairs were needed. Therefore, I contacted customer support through chat and they reinforced warning to use oven mitts when adjusting knobs and over is on. Seems to be a bit of a design flaw. While inconvenient for us, I DO NOT recommend this unit for anyone with small children in the house.

Looks nice but as other reviewers have stated, there is a huge design flaw which causes the burner knobs to get hot to the touch when the oven is on. I've never had this experience using any other oven. It's totally unsafe especially if you have little children that could potentially come near the oven when in use. Also, the burner grates are looking super worn/scratched after only 2 months of light use. I would have went with a different line had I known about these issues beforehand

The control knobs turn the burners on with very little pressure resulting in flames igniting by just leaning against a knob while reaching for something to the side of the cook top creating severe burns to the arm. I have called the company but they refuse to address this issue. Also: The stainless steed scratches very easily!

Everything works well and I like the simple aesthetics. My one big concern is that the knobs get very hot, especially when I use the oven. This would be dangerous with young children around.

Knobs overheat and stainless steel scratches

The look for this range is great! We just redid our kitchen and this model showed up assempled incorrectly from the factory. The knobs were not secured from the rear and allowed all the knobs when pushed to turn on gas to scratch the front stainless steel panel. The appliance store sent technician out to repair and that was fixed quickly. The top where the burners are scratches nearly everytime I try to clean it. The front knobs when the oven is on even at lower temps are so hot that you can barely touch them. Thank god we do not have young children in the house or it would be a major problem. I am extremely surprised this thing passed the consumer safety inspection with how hot the knobs get with oven on. The cooking performance is the only redeeming quality of this range. Temps hold nicely and the burners pump out strong, consistent heat.

After contacting the manufacturer and hearing no response to dat perhaps by writing this review I might hear something, so here goes. This was not my first gas range so I knew what to expect and I had thought that I did my research before buying this range when looking into a high end range; boy was I wrong. After ordering the range and waiting 7 months to get it what a huge disappointment it was when I went to use it the first time. You would expect that a range advertised as "professional" would be just that. It could not be further from the truth. First off you cannot set your temperature by anything other than by increments of 25; so I cannot set it to any other temperature, say 365F, if I wanted. I do a lot of baking. And this is ™€œprofessional™€ ?! This is ludicrous and I cannot understand why as one can clearly observe the digital temperature readout increase by single digits. Then there is the timer - I would have thought that you could enter in your time say 13 minutes by entering just that number ™€œ13™€, but no. I have to waste my valuable time by physically pressing down each time for the numbers one to ten after which time the numbers then go up so fast, by increments of five , that I often have to go back and decrease it to my desired temperature, again one digit at a time. I am not a techni but these sure sound like they should be simple fixes in this digital age and to me that this perhaps related to the mother board (?). Why not have your technicians work on rectifiying this and send a new board out as a replacement addressing these issues to those such as myself who have invested in what they thought was a high end range? Then there is the issue with the knobs on the front which get so hot that I can barely touch them. This was never an issue with my other ranges having front knobs. I need to keep my grandchildren away from the kitchen. I contacted them regarding this immediately and I am still waiting for parts which hopefully will fix this issue but I am not holding my breath. The manual could provide better instructions as to how to insert and remove the slide out rolling rack as this is not an easy task to achieve. So very disappointed and angered that I spent so much money on a range with such limitations. The cooktop is the one bright spot with this ™€œprofessional™€ range.

After living in our RV while having a house built, I™€™m rediscovering cooking again and love this unit. Loved the look of it on showroom floor the minute I saw it. I™€™m loving how it cooks and all the features. Slowly I™€™m becoming the cook I once was with my new gas range. Love it!

Super happy with it so far - consistent temp, love the air fryer, the ability to use a meat thermometer, and there's a variety of features that are easy to use and figure out.

Great oven but unreliable

We moved into our new house less than two years ago (so outside one year warranty) and we™€™ve already encountered issues with the oven where it will not heat. We™€™ve absolutely loved this oven but cannot recommend something that won™€™t even last for two years.

It's a beautiful range and I've only had it two weeks. The stove top works excellently but the stainless steel needs constant attention when frying or even from cooking soup. The knobs get warm to the touch when cooking on range for a period of time. The only reason I did not give you a 5 star was that I was disappointed in the air fry feature, I air fried Brussels sprouts and that was excellent but in air frying chicken wings my whole kitchen was filled with smoke to the point that nI had to open every window of my home, And yes I did have my new frigidaire micro wave on turbo vent the entire time.

This is our first time buying Frigidaire Professional appliances and have been very pleased with all of them. The gas range has powerful burners that are able to be precisely adjusted. The oven preheats quickly and cooks consistently and evenly. The air fry feature is new to us and we're still working to perfect our technique, but it was one of the reasons we chose this model.

We've used all of the features. The air fryer made the best chicken wings I've ever eaten. Stoe top burners are responsive and easily regulated. Stainless steel stove top has been easy to clean and looks sharp. The digital control panel is easily understood and easily used. All around great stove.

We purchased the whole range of products from you for our new kitchen. We have had particular trouble with the gas range and have had numerous Service calls. What we don't like is the intense heat that comes out of the back vent when the oven is on. It is so hot that you cannot cook with the stovetop at the same time as the heat affects the pots. My husband burned his hand on one of the front knobs it was so hot. Our local appliance dealer who we bought through advised us that at this point we need to contact you. Your customer service line is terrible, having customers wait for up to an hour! Ridiculous! Our appliances were more than $10,000 from you. I think you should be calling us not the other way around.
